Map2Excel now exports colors, icons and custom properties

Map2Excel, a utility for exporting Mindjet MindManager maps to Microsoft Excel 2010 has been upgraded to version 1.0.0054 with several new features.

  • Text retains MindManager colors
  • Icons are exported as columns
  • Custom properties exported as columns
  • Images exported in comments enlarged
  • New option to overwrite previous export (avoid accumulating excel sheets)
  • Column widths better fit to text

People often find MindManager a convenient place to accumulate information interactively on things like software requirements gathering, Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), property inventories, project plans, etc., but need to communicate or archive this information in a more widely available format. Map2Excel provides a means to export virtually all the information accumulated in a map to Microsoft Excel format.

For more information and download links, visit the Map2Excel page. The latest features are only available in the “Beta” downloads.

This version is likely to have a few bugs given the significant enhancements, so let me know if you run into trouble or have some adjustments you would recommend.
