Dashboard Refresh Speed Comparison

MindManager 9 feels a bit faster and claims to open maps significantly faster, so I timed how fast it took to refresh my daily action dashboard compared with MindManager 8.2. MindManager 9.1 took 3:45 while MIndManager 8.2 took only 3:15.

Admittedly, I have no idea how the dashboard is technically produced, but is performance directly related to MM?

I always assumed RM was crawling through the maps to retrieve the next uncompleted tasks and MM was merely rendering the tasks in the dashboard as RM finds them. Your test suggests that RM is calling some MM functionality other than that.

ResultsManager has a couple of programming components, but the core is a SAX-basic macro that runs within mindmanager and interacts with the MindManager object model/functions to harvest maps and stores the information in the dashboard. I think interacting with MindManager API with external software code may be much slower.
