Hi Mike -- Nice to see you using the nm tag. I find it lowers the barrier to defining a clean project just enough that I do it quite a bit more often. The nm tag does most of its work with a macro:

http://wiki.activityowner.com/index.php?title=Ao_new_project_map.mmbas

I just made some changes to add the yellow boundary to the in-tray. You have to take the text from the wiki and put it into the macro in the AO directory as I haven't rolled this into the installation yet.

I'm a strong believer in using a sub-project icon in the in-tray so that projects that run out of next actions are flagged (resultsmanager sees the default in-tray as an action).

You could change the text for the "Plan" about three quarters of the way down in the macro. What would you prefer it to be? Perhaps it could be a new default or made more configurable. This particular macro code very cleanly written and could be made more customizable.

I'm not sure how to go about adding the in-tray image to a topic using a macro.

I'm mainly a user of the tools here these days, but I always enjoy the comments and suggestions that come in as it makes the tools more useful to me!

Hello,

Okay, so I am FINALLY getting to asking the question in the correct venue. I had originally posed this question at the Gyronix forum.

Custom Map generation when using the NM tag.

When I generate a map with the NM tag, I cannot continue with the standard work flow when it asks for keyword etc. The reason is that I like to use a different "in" box. Actually it is the inbox under Map Parts > Gyronix and the in tray with the yellow back ground.

So, when I do the NM tag, I decline all of the dialog boxes (except for save) and then delete the automatically generated inbox, pull in the one I want and then use the "k" tag and do the key word assignment.

If I can figure out how to modify the NM tag map generation process, I would probably also change few other things such as the "plan" box and such.

Thanks for your great site and your endless work. It really is appreciated.

Hello Erik -- Glad to hear program is working for you. I uploaded a new version that has an option in mindreaderconfig to not auto save. I'm not sure it will save much time but give it a try.

Hello,
I had no idea where else to post a question. I love using mindreader with outlinkner, I have never felt more organized. My question is, can I speed up the processing of my gyronix queue? It just seems when I process all my emails it takes a long time to run the gyronix queue. From looking how things work, is there a way to stop mindreader from saving a map every time it changes something? I know this will open me up to issues if anything crashes, but I would like to have the speed up. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you for your time and hard work on this project.
